Ethics Reform

Kendrick has been a public servant for the past fifteen years and has the honesty, integrity, and personal character necessary to be a strong U.S. Senator for Florida.

Throughout his time in public service, he has always held himself to the highest professional standards and voted in favor of strong ethics reforms, including:

  • Cracking down on lobbyist “bundling” to require registered lobbyists to disclose more information about contributions for candidates, political parties, and political action committees.
  • Creating a zero tolerance ban on gifts from lobbyists.
  • Supporting meaningful earmark reform by requiring members of Congress to provide information about the recipient and purpose of an earmark.
  • Instituting new restrictions on lobbyists from countries that supported terrorism.
  • Extending the revolving door lobbying ban between former members of Congress and lobbying to two years, banning travel on private jets, and ending retirement benefits for members convicted of public crimes.
  • Banning lawmakers-turned-lobbyists from the floor and gym of the House of Representatives.
  • Creating a Bipartisan Ethics Task Force with equal representation of Republicans and Democrats to make recommendations to restore public confidence in the House ethics process
