Florida's political season has been heating up for months, and now comes word that WINK-TV will air a number of upcoming debates ahead of the Aug. 24 primaries.
Democrats Jeff Greene and Kendrick Meek, who are running for the United States Senate, will debate on Aug. 10.
Republican gubernatorial candidates Bill McCollum and Rick Scott reportedly will face off on Aug. 11, although there is some question as to whether Scott has officially confirmed.
General election debates for governor and U.S. Senate candidates are scheduled for Oct. 19 and 20. WINK has snapped up the rights to carry those as well.
If you're a political junkie like me, you're really looking forward to the main event - the throwdown between U.S. Senate candidates Mario Rubio (R), Charlie Crist (no-party affiliation) and the yet-to-be-decided Democrat.
