Rubio is anti-choice and supports overturning Roe vs. Wade. In a press release, Rubio stated, “As Florida’s next U.S. senator, I will continue to be a voice for not only winning hearts and minds on life issues but also to support pro-life policies. I also pledge to support well-qualified judicial nominees who will interpret the laws of our land, not establish new policy from the bench as the Supreme Court did in Roe v. Rubio: Allow the state to interfere with women’s reproductive health Rubio voted against an amendment that gave women the right to choose to end their pregnancies “without undue interference from the state”.
